Spring... In December? Cheesy title aside, this is the first of many ice, cold, and winter-centric tracks that I would end up recording during winter. In Standing Alone, I started using some synth pads to try and "fill" my music and make it sound fuller. In Spring In December, I take that a step further by using a choir pad and some sort of piccolo (or woodwind). Listening to the piano in this track again, I think this also might have been one of the first times I've recorded using the Yamaha PSR-530's pitch bending wheel (which you'll hear towards the end of the track).
